Welcome from the New Editor-in-Chief: Leading Pediatric Neurology into a New Era of Innovation and Progress
Article information
It is a tremendous honor for me to assume the role of Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Child Neurology, the official journal of the Korean Child Neurology Society (KCNS). Starting in 1993, the KCNS published the Journal of the Korean Child Neurology Society in Korean. In 2019, we began publishing Annals of Child Neurology in English to broaden our scope and connect with the global research community. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Professor Soon-Hak Kwon, who has devoted the past six years to advancing the status of the journal as Editor-in-Chief. Thanks to his leadership and the dedicated efforts of our editorial board, we have achieved the significant milestone of being indexed in Scopus.
As the new Editor-in-Chief, my primary objective is to ensure that valuable research from around the globe is reviewed promptly and accurately, and published without unnecessary delays. By enhancing communication, I aim to share these findings with you as rapidly as possible, thereby enriching our collective knowledge and advancing the tools available for diagnosis and treatment. To support this mission, I have invited four distinguished and active editors to join our editorial board: Professor Ara Koh from Yonsei University, Professor Soyoung Park from Soonchunhyang University, Professor Songyi Yoon from Kyung Hee University, and Professor Jaeso Cho from Seoul National University. I am confident that their expertise will be instrumental in transforming our journal into a premier platform for disseminating critical new insights in pediatric neurology.
Recently, we have observed a significant increase in manuscript submissions from both Korean researchers and those from other regions. This trend is a promising indicator of our journal's expanding international presence. We are committed to delivering initial decisions within 4 weeks, providing prompt feedback to authors, and ensuring that the submission process serves as both a valuable learning experience and a networking opportunity. Furthermore, we will diligently work to enhance the quality of each manuscript with the goal of achieving indexing in the Science Citation Index Expanded.
Annals of Child Neurology welcomes submissions on any topic related to pediatric neurology, including original research, case reports, new treatments, and novel disease etiologies. We also invite feedback and suggestions for improving our journal. Please feel free to reach out to us at editor@annchildneurol.org.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to Annals of Child Neurology through submissions, reviews, and feedback. Your dedication plays a crucial role in advancing the treatment of neurological disorders in children and adolescents.
